Claudia Ortíz-FonsecaClaudia is the founding Managing partner of Ortíz-Fonseca & Abogados. She qualified as a lawyer from Saint Thomas University in Bogota, Colombia, in March 1998. Additionally, she is a Spanish-qualified lawyer, having graduated from University of Huelva, Spain, in 2007.

  • International Human Rights Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Defense – General Command – Bogota and at the same time she became a professor at the Air Force Institute in 1998-1999.
  • Legal Adviser for the Air Force – Colombian Military Forces from 1999 to 2000.
  • Between 2000 and 2002, Claudia headed up the legal office at the District Prison in Bogotá, D.C., and was later appointed Interim Director of the same establishment.
  • From 2002 and 2004, she was appointed Head of the Legal Office at the Mayor Office in Usaquén, Bogotá, D.C., and then promoted to the position of Interim Mayor of Usaquén, Bogotá, D.C.
